Welcome to Alpha Angus Farm

Alpha Angus Farm is a registered Angus cattle ranch located southwest of Perkins, OK.  Alpha Angus was started in 1987 by Everett and Susanne Short with the purchase of a bank-owned house and 80 acres of pastureland.  This purchase allowed Everett and Susanne to pursue their goal of creating a performance Angus seedstock operation.  Creating such an operation would entail breeding and producing cattle with good carcass traits, low to moderate birth weights, good milk production, and high rates of growth.  Artificial insemination is the primary method of attaining these results.  Since the ranch's outset, Everett and Susanne have grown the ranch to approximately 100 head of cattle, all registered Angus, on 480 acres of beautiful, highly productive land in Central Oklahoma.
