We started Alpha Angus Farm in 1987 with the purchase of a ranch near Perkins, Oklahoma.  Perkins is located about 9 miles south of Stillwater, home of Oklahoma State University.  We have raised performance Angus cattle from the outset.  Our herd comprises about one-hundred cows.  We focus on producing cattle with good carcass traits along with low to moderate birth weights,  good milk production,  and high rates of growth.  We rely heavily on artificial insemination as shown in the pedigrees of our sale animals.
